If you were like me when I agreed to take on this challenge, I hadn't done much in the way of continuing ed. or self development outside of just helping my kids with their homework. So, when I first picked up Module 1, Designing Learning and read the first chapter... I went to the knowledge check and got 4 out of 10 questions right. Wow, it really wasn't sinking in.
Number one, I now knew that I needed to commit more time to studying, and number two, I needed to start taking notes while I was going along. You need to set up a study schedule for yourself, allowing 8-12 weeks of study time that complements the online learning. Leverage the resources available to you & sign up for a study group from the google doc links from our website. As the test gets closer, I recommend taking Monday & Tuesday off work to study if possible, then take the exam on a Wednesday. If your weekends are hectic like mine with four kids, I got a lot more studying done on Monday & Tuesday.
Check out the documents page on the website to find a countdown calendar handout.
